Roberto Clemente was the star of the 1971 Series. He had 12 hits in the seven-game tilt and extended his personal World Series hitting streak to 14 consecutive games. He hit two home runs, including the decisive blow in the fourth inning of Game 7 that gave the Pirates the victory over the Orioles.
