Winning Games 2, 6, and then 7 in relief a day later, Johnson was the first pitcher to win three games in a Series since Detroit's Mickey Lolich in 1968. He pitched 17 innings, struck out 19, and posted a 1.04 ERA. Schilling won Game 1, and then pitched excellently but received no-decisions in Game 4 and 7. He finished the Series with 21 innings pitched and a stingy 1.69 ERA.
