Willie "Pops" Stargell hit all three of Pittsburgh's homers, including a two-run shot to put the Pirates ahead in the sixth inning of Game 7 in Baltimore. Collecting 12 hits (.400) and 7 RBIs, Stargell was voted MVP and Pittsburgh's "We Are Family" team (named after the Pointer Sisters' hit recording) earned a place in baseball history.
